the Cabin & TRAIL ROOM

The Cabin and Trail Room (also known as the Founders’ Room) housed an beautiful library on outdoor life and features a wood-burning fireplace. It is now used as an additional classroom, and as a coat room during large events.

DINING ROOM

POND ROOM

The Pond Room was a later addition to the original structure to provide to serve as an area for buffet service. 

KITCHEN

The Kitchen serving the Dining Room and Terrace fell into disuse when restaurant operations were discontinued, and now functions only as a basic prep area for catered functions. All appliances are outdated and inoperable and require replacement. 

UPPER LEVEL

The Upper Level provided residential accommodations for the building’s staff. It is in reasonably good condition, and accessed by separate stairways at the east and west ends. There are still existing built in dressers. It recently served as office space for adult continuing education programs.

LOWER LEVEL

The Lower Level is accessible by two interior stairways and from outside at ground level. 

In addition to an equipment (skates, skis, etc.) rental facility, it also houses a locker room, rest rooms, a small custodian’s office, vending area, storage space, and the building’s infrastructure equipment (boiler, electrical panels, etc.) Updating of systems and realignment of existing partitioning will greatly increase usable space and efficiency.
